Literature Text

If I were to extend my hand,
Steady my finger on the wall,
I'd walk to and under it all,
Afraid to look at the sand.
Small gusts and breezes
Disturb a single nostril hair.

No putrid or unhealthy smells,
No distorsions or drought.
I catch a voice and need to shout,
Instead "whisper" it tells.
Only one blaze from the sun pair
And yet my mind still freezes.

It seems as though it knows the way
If there is such a thing,
Rejoice at all a friend could bring
A friend throughout the day.
Behind the shadow, granite alone
Postponed the scattering of senses.

[insert stanzas here that tell this story: to my left is desert and to my right is a wall. I feel the urge to reach it's other side, only to find out to be barren as well.]

The voice died down too long ago,
And still I cannot sleep?
Voices make promises to keep!
I want to leave, but cannot go...
Please find a scratch upon the wall
So I can then die free.

<<the scratch was made by me at the beginning of the journey. To find it again means to have circled the whole planet. how does the idea sound?>>
Somewhat of an attempt at creating atmosphere from bits and pieces of outside and inside elements. As this is a work in progress, I find it to be very rough. Any suggestion is welcome!
